Bio
Elizabeth White's work includes photography, video, installation, and social practices. Recent exhibitions include "No Soul For Sale" at the Tate Modern and "Surveil", a two-person show with Anne Elizabeth Moore at the Center for Endless Progress in Berlin. In 2009 she participated in the 8th Annual A.I.R. Gallery Biennial, curated by Lily Wei. Her work has also been shown in New York, Dublin, and Leipzig as well as Japan and New Zealand. White is a 2009 alumna of The Anhoek School's program in Marfa, TX and in 2010 participated in the Pilotenkuche residency at the Spinnerei in Leipzig, Germany. She has been honored with an Aaron Siskind Fellowship and the support of the Hattie Strong Foundation and featured as a new talent by ArtInfo.com. White holds an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York, and a BA from Vassar College. Based in Brooklyn, she teaches digital art and culture courses at the College of Staten Island (CUNY) and Ramapo College and is the creator of the blog HotArtAction.com
